Description

With up to 110 kWh of usable energy available in three different power levels (30, 50, 100 kVA) in a compact design, the SALZSTROM SALT 110 is ideal for confined spaces such as data centers or industrial buildings with limited space. The system is modularly expandable, robustly constructed and equipped with liquid cooling, so it provides reliable performance in continuous operation.

Key benefits of the SALT 110
Compact and space-saving design: The system is specially designed for confined spaces (e.g. data centers, industrial halls or near charging stations) where installation space is critical.

Excellent safety (no fire risk): Sodium-ion cells are chemically extremely stable, not prone to thermal leakage and are non-flammable. This significantly simplifies regulatory approvals and reduces insurance costs in industrial environments.

Excellent thermal tolerance and lower operating costs: The system has an extremely wide operating temperature range from -25°C to +55°C. When installed outdoors, the cells can discharge down to -40°C. This eliminates the need for energy-intensive air conditioning (HVAC) or heating systems, drastically reducing operating costs.

Long life and high cycle life: According to the manufacturer, the storage can withstand up to 6,000 charge cycles at a depth of discharge (DoD) of 95%. In addition, it exhibits significantly less degradation during high-current operation – such as peak reduction – than lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.

Sustainability and independence: The SALT 110 is completely free of lithium, cobalt and nickel. Since sodium (salt) is an abundant and inexpensive raw material, production is independent of geopolitical and supply chain risks for critical raw materials. In addition, the materials used are non-toxic and the system is more than 95% recyclable.

Modular expandability and liquid cooling: The robust cabinet storage unit is equipped with integrated liquid cooling for continuous and reliable operation and its capacity can be modularly expanded according to future needs.

Based on typical applications, the SALT 110 is the ideal choice for:
Peak reduction: To reduce energy peaks in industrial plants and sawmills and thus grid charges.

Solar system optimization: To maximize self-consumption.
Operating electric vehicle charging stations: Where sudden high power is needed.
